In addition to its numerous cultural and natural assets, the town also houses two quality craftsmen.

It’s in Marchiennes that François Poitau created his coffeLes Cafés Poitau Les Cafés Poitau  © Les Cafés Poitaue-roasting workshop at the beginning of the last century. Since then, Mr Oblin has always worked with his family to make  his traditional coffee from the North. The company opens its doors to the public to show its roasting techniques and its workshops.

The Cattelet Goat Breeding Farm is located on the road to Flines-les-Râches since 1988, in a farm slightly away from the town of Marchiennes, in a privileged place, surrounded with fields and meadows. The farm is equipped with a modern milking room and with a functional dairy conforming to European norms.
It is possible to visit the farm, stroke the goats and kiss the kids for the greatest pleasure of everyone. It is also possible to witness the milking at 6.00 pm; it is a privileged moment of exchanges between Mr Besset and "his little family".
Do not forget to discover the shop where many locally made cheeses and various local crafts are available.
